M.U.S.T.A.N.G. Pride Statement and Message from MVHS Principal
Dear Parents and Students:
My name is Ryan Dodson, and I am the Principal of Monument Valley High School. Home of the Mustangs! As we embark on another year together, it is with pride that every student at MVHS is provided a quality tier-one secondary education. For the school year 2024-2025, the goal is to re-energize and get excited about education. The word Mustangs is synonymous with excellence. Take time to commit to memory our Pride Statement:
“Motivated. United. Safe. Thoughtful. Attentive. Nizhoni. Genuine. Studious.” – M.U.S.T.A.N.G. Pride Statement
With the support of all community stakeholders: students, parents, educators, and administration we believe it is attainable, while at MVHS, to learn the skills necessary for a successful life. Through collective teacher efficacy and parent involvement, students will be challenged to think, and problem solve through engaging classroom environments and unique opportunities provided by clubs and organizations.
The Student/Parent Handbook ("Handbook") serves as a guide and is intended to promote a safe learning environment. The handbook provides students and parents with a simple guide for understanding the operating policies, regulations, and procedures of Monument Valley High School. Students and their parent(s) are encouraged to read the handbook, so they are informed. Any questions about the handbook can be directed to the building Principal and/or Assistant Principal. We will be happy to assist and clarify any information or questions. We also welcome parent input and recommendations for our yearly update on our handbook.
Good attendance by students is essential to academic success, and to be present for valuable learning that prepares students to be successful in school academics and helps to prepare to demonstrate proficiency on the required state assessments.
We are excited and happy to have our students return, and we welcome all new students. Thank you for choosing MVHS! You are and will always be a valued member of our Mustang family. Have an awesome and fun school year!
Respectfully,
Ryan Dodson, MVHS Principal
