Kayenta USD: Who We Are
KUSD is the proud home of students and educators of the Navajo Nation of Northeastern Arizona. We educate over 2,000 kindergarten through 12th grade students. A majority of our students are bilingual; speaking the proud language of the Navajo people. We strive to encourage a strong sense of who students are culturally and individually as we reflect this beautiful heritage in the processes and content of their everyday instruction and learning.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to prepare our students to become literate, creative, self-confident, responsible citizens, and life-long learners. As they grow, they will be well prepared to meet the challenges of adulthood, possessing the skills necessary to live happy and successful lives.
