TESTING

Dear Parents of MVHS Freshmen Students,

The Monument Valley High School teachers, staff, and administration want to thank you for support in your child’s education at Monument Valley High School. Your support is critical in helping your child to be successful in their schooling.

Important Announcement:

On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, all MVHS freshmen will be taking an important and required state test. The test is called the ACT ASPIRE. This includes students who are distance and in-person learners.

Students will report to their designated testing classroom by 7:55 A.M. The test will last until approximately 1:00 p.m. (this varies depending on when the test in each classroom is started). Students will be tested in English, Math, Reading, Science and Writing.

  • Students should arrive to school by 7:45 A.M. on the testing day, April 12th.  If a student is late, the student will not be able to take the test and will report to their 5th hour teacher. (we will be on a reverse bell schedule 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
  • Prior to the testing day, students should become familiar with where their testing room is located.
  • Students are encouraged to get a good night’s rest the night before testing.
  • Students are encouraged to eat big breakfast at home or at school prior to testing.
  • Lunch will be given to students after testing.
  • Distance learning parents will want to make arrangements to pick up their student after the testing is over (note: If a distance learning parent wants their distance learner to ride the bus on the testing day, to and from school, they may choose to do so). Please contact the MVHS office at 928-697-2100 if you have questions about this option.
  • Students who are testing cannot be visited or checked out.

Thank you,

Blane Baker

Interim MVHS Principal
